News from BANDA Health

There's news at BANDA Health (the organization where I will be working).

The pilot project for „Banda Go“ at St. Jude Clinic (photo left) in Chokaa has been successfully completed – with very positive feedback! By the end of the year, another 20 clinics will be supported with this program.

Banda Go is a simple IT solution developed by BANDA Health specifically for small clinics in remote areas with very limited resources. The goal of this software and the accompanying training is to enable better healthcare and financial stability.

St. Jude Clinic is staffed by two Clinical Officers („medical professionals with only 3-4 years of training“; more information about this professional group can be found here). hereThey operate clinics providing medical care for patients who would otherwise have to travel long distances. After just a few weeks, Boniface (see photo) saves more than an hour a day on administrative paperwork thanks to Banda Go and the training. Specifically, this translates to more than 10 extra hours per week that the two COs can spend treating patients, time they can spend building relationships.

This is exactly the kind of work we want to support!
