David became acquainted with different cultures at an early age and knew from the beginning that he wanted to dedicate his life to fighting injustice.
He was born in France in 1984 as an American citizen and grew up in Jordan and Germany. He then moved to Austria to study, but before settling in Salzburg, he made two detours to Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.

To underpin his passion for systems improvement with relevant skills, he studied international management and specialized in development work. He initially worked in the private sector, where he focused on project management, information systems, and strategy. He then worked in the public health sector in the management of... Salzburg State Hospitals working as an organizational development consultant.
Even as a teenager, David was active as a volunteer with various Christian youth groups and retreats. After ten years as the leader of an interdenominational youth group in Salzburg, he spent three years involved in the church leadership of the Church among the people.

The fates of the poor he has encountered over the years have shaped him and motivated him to become a development worker. Now the time has come to put long-held plans and ideas into action.
At BANDA Health He has found a team with whom he can positively influence healthcare for the poor in East Africa.
He has three main tasks:
- Consulting for clinics: The clinics and mission hospitals in East Africa do incredible work, but they can also learn a lot from hospitals in Europe. David uses his experience in public health in Austria to help the clinics optimize their strategies and processes.
- Build relationships with more churches, so that many church-run clinics and primary care centers can benefit from BANDA Health's services, and thus reach more patients.
- Preparing BANDA Health for growth. This means developing and optimizing the organization and internal processes, recruiting new staff, financial stabilization, and other changes necessary for BANDA Health to evolve from a small start-up into a reliable partner for clinics in East Africa.
