When we began this chapter of our lives in early 2019, this is how we pictured ourselves …
Together we're quite a colorful bunch. If we were colors, we'd describe ourselves something like this:
Purple like Layla Reef
Our 11-year-old fun-loving girl with the unmistakable laugh and a huge heart. Layla loves giving gifts, singing, sometimes accompanies Mom when she takes photos, and loves good food. She's currently in 5th grade at Tichie Swot in the Rift Valley Academy.
Turquoise like Noemi Sky
or a Ulysses butterfly. Our 13-year-old Noemi often reminds me of a butterfly, flitting here and there. A dance here, a song there, a beautiful drawing, or even a poem. Noemi loves to think and devours books. She's in 7th grade (3rd in Austria) or Junior High on the RVA.
Indigo blue like Liza
She brings joy to our family. She captures beautiful moments with her photography, and she also loves nature, sports, and deep conversations. Her passion is to support young women and girls on their journeys and through their everyday challenges. Being a good listener is important to her.
Green like David
He is our stable, down-to-earth tree, around which his girls dance. He brings a sense of adventure and a love of good things to the lively bunch. He loves inventing things and systems that make the world more efficient and just.
