Habari means "news" in Swahili.
We thoroughly enjoyed what was probably our last summer in Salzburg and are already saying goodbye to our homeland in spirit, while imagining what life will be like in our new Kenyan surroundings.
It seems somehow close and yet so far away – an in-between time in which we find ourselves, and yet we want to be „fully present“ where we are right now.
Our main task at the moment is to further communicate our project and build a support network. We're familiarizing ourselves with new communication tools and people, and learning a lot along the way… including that things usually move a bit slower than expected. From now on, you can also visit our new website for more information!
But you're already there 🙂
News from BANDA Health

David would love to be on-site right now, diving straight into work with the BANDA Health team. A lot is happening, for example at the St. Jude Clinic in Chokaa (photo left). The clinic's development is a great example of what's possible with BANDA Health's support. Here You can learn more about the clinic, Boniface (photo on the right) and the work of BANDA Health.
On the home front

We are delighted that the dream of a youth group spanning multiple parishes in Salzburg has now become a reality. In September, we had our first meeting with 18(!) children. Please pray with us that more children who don't yet know Jesus will join us.

After exactly 11 years, one week, and one day, David and I renewed our vows. We were able to celebrate with some dear friends and family. We are so grateful for our marriage and our two wonderful daughters. If you're curious about the re-wedding photos, you can... here See more.
Finances
Since our work on 100% depends on donations, a minimum of €6,000 in monthly donations must be received before we can travel. For more information about how we fund our work, click here. here.

For the visual types among us, there's this lion who gives us the monthly Donation status The symbol indicates (colored means financed). Our goal is to give our lion a colorful mane by February (50% financing) and for the whole lion (100%) to be colorful by April so we can get started.
Would you like to help us with this lion? to dye?

Archbishop Rowan Williams defines mission as “…finding out what God is doing and joining in.”
We are currently in this process of discovery and integration. It's as if God wants to constantly remind us how important our BEING is. He is not concerned with our performance. When we are willing to continually shift our focus from the OUTSIDE to the INSIDE, then we begin to live as "called" ones!
